@J_Myles_TIR I’ve been on a big 2000s metal kick with Ashes of the Wake in constant rotation and as soon as I heard this cover I knew I’d be listening to Ashes of the Wake again today
@AdamOculporate@arash_tehran@CrotserJeremiah And their evidence for this is that Bessner won’t call Trump a fascist. Which again just plays into Bessner’s case that Americans use fascism as a way of saying bad and not an attempt to accurately describe a political formation
@AdamOculporate@arash_tehran@CrotserJeremiah Which is exactly Bessner’s point! This whole thing drives me fucking crazy bc Bessner is so obviously correct on this, and they know he is. None of these people actually come back with any kind of a critique, they just say that Bessner thinks Trump isn’t that bad.
@_Utdbaki This is a fantastic counter, and PSG are one of the two likeliest to win the UCL, but you have to consider that they did this against a side that’s down 1-4 on aggregate and has to go all in on every attacking chance
@thetrillbillies You see this kind of thing from online lefties too where they think we should rebuild society around people that just do not exist at any kind of meaningful scale. But it seems much more insane for the president to be talking about it while he’s actually doing it
I love when a post is clearly about one or two people in someone’s social circle or part of their media diet and they try to make it a whole thing about society
parallel to gifted kid syndrome is the curious phenomenon by which upper middle class parents raise their kids as if they were poor/working class, but instead of instilling the virtues of thrift the kids never hedonically adapt to being rich at all and choose to underachieve
