@TrueMessiahMin@garyandglendah1@BrysonGray Acts 10:14But Peter said, “By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.”
15 Again a voice came to him a second time, “What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.”
@TrueMessiahMin@garyandglendah1@BrysonGray Peter was corrected by God declaring all foods now clean. The only reason for the dietary laws were to separate Israel from other nations. All foods are clean. You sound like a judaizer. The Book of Galatians is a great example of judaizers.
@TrueMessiahMin One question...have you kept the law perfectly? Because if you haven't you're on your way to hell. The law is inflexible. 9 of the 10 Commandments are reaffirmed in the New Testament but obedience to them is the result of salvation not the way to obtain it.
@TrueMessiahMin@garyandglendah1@BrysonGray No the law is perfect, but we can't keep it and it's a schoolmaster designed to drive us to Christ. I'll ask you point blank...are you justified by your works or faith alone. I think you're confusing sanctification with justification
@TrueMessiahMin@garyandglendah1@BrysonGray When Jesus died on the cross, He fulfilled the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). This includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods.
@TrueMessiahMin@BrysonGray He's trusting and even boasting his works (which is mostly ceremonial in nature) rather than in Grace alone, Faith alone in Christ. Works are evidence of salvation not the basis to obtain it.
@BrysonGray I'll start with a basic question...do works play any role in a person's justification? What is the difference between justification and sanctification?
@BrysonGray No Jeaus used the weight of the law to demonstrate the impossibility of perfectly keeping it as God requires, therefore a Savior is needed to do what is impossible for everyone. Romans 3:20 "no ome is righteous, no not even one"
@BrysonGray Works are not required to EARN salvation, but they will be the result or evidence of saving faith. I wonder if you're even a Christian because everything you post is erroneous
