#OTD in 1798 the Battle of Nile took place between the @RoyalNavy and the French Republic Navy. The battle took place at Aboukir Bay on the Mediterranean coast off the Nile Delta of Egypt and lasted until the 3rd August 1798. After three days the British overcame the French.
