Ep 2 yap about PrimBambi relation(sh1t).
From the previous episode we already started noticing hints of an avoidant–anxious attachment dynamic between them, and episode 2 honestly makes that pattern even clearer. The way they interact, react, and misread each other feels very consistent with that kind of relationship dynamic.
Bambi, for instance, comes across as someone who outwardly seems almost indifferent, like she doesn’t care about anyone else in the room. The scene where she immediately calls out the intern and removes her from the project the moment she notices the girl getting close to Prim is a perfect example. It feels harsh and impulsive on the surface, almost cruel even. But the more I think about it, the more it seems rooted in insecurity rather than pure malice.
Bambi has only just reentered Prim’s life, and suddenly she’s seeing multiple people orbiting around her, while Prim herself is still refusing her. From Bambi’s perspective, that probably triggers jealousy and uncertainty. But instead of expressing those emotions directly, she deals with them in the only way she seems to know, control. Rather than communicating her feelings, she simply removes the perceived threats.
And the tool she uses to do that is the one thing she’s always had power over, her wealth and status. She’s clearly very used to using those things as a shield or a mechanism to fix problems. It’s almost like it’s become her default language of protection. If something threatens what she cares about, she eliminates it. Explains nothing. Just acts.
The problem is that while Bambi believes she’s protecting what matters to her, she doesn’t seem to fully grasp how much those actions hurt Prim. She protects, she controls, she secures outcomes. But that approach often ends up hurting the people around her unintentionally, because emotional communication simply isn’t her thing.
Prim, on the other hand, seems to sit on the opposite end of that. She comes across as someone who is slightly people-pleasing. Watching her interactions, it doesn’t really feel like she’s intentionally playing a push and pull game with Bambi. It’s not that she strategically rejects her sometimes and accepts her at other times.
Instead, it feels more like Prim genuinely struggles to say no.
Even when she initially refuses Bambi, it doesn’t take much for her resolve to weaken. At the same time, Prim’s empathy shows up in other ways too. After the intern gets removed from the project because of Bambi’s interference, Prim immediately makes sure the intern receives another opportunity.
That small action says a lot about her character, she doesn’t like the idea of someone suffering because of decisions tied to her. But that same tendency to consider everyone else’s feelings might also be what complicates her relationship with Bambi.
Irl I often saw when you place a people-pleasing personality into a relationship with someone who avoids emotional explanation, you get a very fragile dynamic. Prim may end up constantly trying to understand Bambi’s actions on her own, filling in the emotional gaps without ever receiving clear explanations. And that kind of situation can easily lead to overthinking, insecurity, and emotional exhaustion.
She might keep forgiving, keep adjusting, keep trying to interpret Bambi’s intentions, while silently carrying the confusion that comes with never actually hearing Bambi say what she feels.
And honestly, that’s what makes their dynamic so interesting to watch. It’s messy, complicated, and very character driven damn. The more the show reveals about how differently they process emotions and relationships, the more layered their interactions start to feel. Give me more pls
