For my friends who asked how they could support me during this time of escalating acts of hate against the AAPI community, I’ve responded with this open letter on how they — and you — can help: https://t.co/lSkYopitvC

Things I thought I would have to deal with a lot as an adult:
1. Bermuda Triangle
2. Quicksand
3. Catching myself on fire
Things I actually have to deal with:
1. People
Unfortunately, I cannot “Stop, Drop, and Roll” my way out of dealing with humanity
@LauraGarciaNBC This just happened to my husband — 101 pothole took out 2 tires and possible the whole wheel. There are so many cars waiting to be serviced that we are still waiting for our car to be fixed.
61/1000 miles: I can finally run 2-3 miles without stopping. I started running this year, and at first I hated every step. I was miserable because running is hard. But 61 miles in, that misery turned into ease into enjoyment and now my form of meditation.
@justingordon212@indysen@neeraj@rubenharris@MDMGeek @robin_daniels @danieloleary Same. I tried to do miles on my new treadmill and tweaked my knee. I took a few weeks off running, and now slowly doing light jog/walks to get back on track. Gonna get an ortho to check out my knee too (bc I had knee surgery relatively recently). Anyway hang in there!
@indysen@neeraj@justingordon212@rubenharris@MDMGeek @robin_daniels @danieloleary Congratulations to everyone on solid progress to 1000 miles! And thank you to this whole crew for inspiring me on my first year running! I had knee surgery during the start of the pandemic; this year of running has helped me strengthen my legs like nothing else! 🙌🏼
House of the Dragons season 1, in summary, is about all the people who shouldn’t rule becoming king. And all the people who should rule dealing with it. #HouseOfTheDragon#HouseOfTheDragonHBO
@randwacker Thank you! 🙏 I was not a runner before I started the challenge, and I’m still not. 😂 I am *shocked* I made it this far. What I learned is consistency builds skills (at least in my case), and little achievements lead to big ones!
[904/1000 miles] I crossed 900 miles this week. 96 miles to the finish.
When I started, I was pretty sure I was going to fail. But I thought to myself I’m just going to do this week by week: Just do 20 miles a week. Don’t worry about running the 1000. Think only about the 20.
