“Download the offline installer of any of your games on GOG, save it to a disc, and it's yours forever. You don't need a storefront's permission to play what you bought.”

@Tapeworm_84 @RinoTheBouncer That's quite the opposite. If they stop relising games on disc's, a lot of jobs get lost. Distributors, Stores and so on. Digital means there is only one way to get them, on the only official online/digital PS site.

@GamingCentral26 I'm not buying the PS6 and I am seriously thinking about jailbreak my PS5 so I can play whatever I want. If this is what Sony wants, I'll go back to the PS1/PS2 era when I have them twicked and burned CD/DVDs...

A lot of PS5 owners are becoming interested in jailbreaking their consoles after Sony announced it will stop releasing new PlayStation games on physical discs.

A jailbroken PS5 can run homebrew apps, emulators, and other unofficial software. Players see it as a way to preserve games and keep older titles working in the future if Sony decides to start removing games one day.
