People will derail effective communication & discourse by deflecting, shifting the goalpost, stripping away key context, gaslighting, invalidating emotions, selectively responding to only the points they can challenge, introducing irrelevant counterarguments, weaponizing semantics, and creating false equivalencies. So now you have a conversation that could have produced understanding turning into an argument. You don’t care about exchanging perspectives anymore, it's about you being right, controlling the frame of the conversation, destabilizing the other person’s position, or exhausting them until they disengage all together. Many people do not know how to talk to others when they are challenged or even questioned. So you see them being incapable of being level headed, theyre aggressive& hostile, and controlling the convo. #BehavioralObservations

@DLXLUI @FinesseEness I was president of my sorority & there was no hazing when I pledged. It was basically like taking a history class about the sorority & Greek life in general. But I do vaguely know about another organization that did haze (silly but non-life threatening). Hazing is illegal & dumb

@arakkisuperstar Honestly can’t relate. Every race hits on me both online and in person, but especially in person. Men and women actually. Men I would’ve never thought were interested in me too. Same for my boyfriend but really just in person. We’ve both dated outside of our race before too. 🤷🏽‍♀️
