Jalen Williams on the Spurs: “It honestly feels like we are playing a version of ourselves.”
Could he have changed the outcome? “I think we could’ve won if I played…But it’s also hats off to them. What do you want them to do about me being hurt?”
SGA noted that OKC “needs Chet.” Asked about his conversations with Holmgren after the series, if they’ll talk about his approach to the summer:
“I haven’t talked to Chet about that. I won’t. I don’t feel like I need to. I didn’t perform my greatest this series either. Chet won’t come to me with a development for the summer, you know? Chet knows how much I care about this game. I know how much Chet loves this game. … he’s going to be a better player because of his make-up, his talent. I don’t need to umbrella Chet. He’ll figure it out.”
It's one of those moments where SGA can't reasonably be expected to do this alone, but when you're a 2x MVP, you're sort of expected to occasionally do unreasonable things. When you're knocking on those historical doors, you need one or two unreasonable wins.

Julian Champagnie (St. John’s) has been a guy who’s really impressed so far. The 6’7 Sophomore wing/guard is putting up 22/7/2/2 per game on a nice mix of volume/efficiency (94% FT; 5 3PA/G) and stl/blk %’s (both above 3%). Been a big riser so far for me.
