NEW WORDS FROM ME @NoCeilingsNBA

My annual tradition of publishing the "My Guys" column of the 2026 NBA Draft cycle!! Read below on the 6 guys that I would bet it all on to bring into my building from this draft class! Honorable Mention: Bruce Thornton

@KeithSmithNBA Agreed and I know Mitch Rob is the elder statesman, but I was shocked that this wasn't the case to begin with. You can close with whoever has the hot hand, but Queta is the overall better player and should be starting AND playing the bulk of the C minutes period.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Given the fact he's already making his first start for the Golden State Warriors in GAME TWO of the season... Feel great about this shot I called

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Graham Ike will be on an NBA standard contract before the end of this next season.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Tyler Herro and Ryan Rollins are one heck of a fun and functional backcourt

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

@DLocke09 Small win for the Ace Bailey is ascending agenda

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

@RealBobManning I'm so sorry Bobby, I know exactly how that feels. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here big guy

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Trevon Brazile with EIGHT (!!) rebounds in the FIRST QUARTER of his rookie debut for the Nuggets is an eye-popping stat

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

I can’t thank everyone enough for the support today. I’m not the world’s best basketball scout/analyst. But I’m more than proud that I’ve helped to be part of a community that actually cares about one another. That’s more important than anything. Love you all

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

During what should be an incredible NBA opening week, I've personally had the week from hell. Please keep myself, and my family, in your thoughts and prayers. Trying my best to put a smile on my face and keep covering basketball, but it's really, really hard right now.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

@Tjonesonthenba When was the last time we’ve seen this level of fight in a comeback from a 76ers team Tony?

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

This 76ers comeback is what I’m talking about. Too much talent on this team to give up. No excuses for them to get blown out. They kept fighting, played defense, and have a lead in the 4th. This is what the fans expect.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

I will say, VJ Edgecombe has struggled to fit in on offense and rightfully so. Hes (maybe never?) been the fifth-best player on his team. This is a kid who has been on an ascension his entire HS/college/rookie season in the NBA, now having to really adjust. I know he’ll do it.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

So much better effort defensively in the second half for the 76ers. Reading passing lanes, playing fast, not settling for pull-up jumpers.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Domination inside so far by the Cavs against the 76ers. There’s lack of cohesion on offense similar to 1H against the Knicks, but this interior defensive effort, little boxing out, is just killing Philly.

@CodyL3wis Note the words "not a lot" doesn't mean none....

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Not a lot of positive debuts from the NBA’s rookie class last night…. But that’s professional ball! Welcome to the league rookies!!

I’d say Keaton Wagler had the most balanced debut against Sacramento, but will go back through the tape on all these rookies.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

I love when the NBA makes me look like a fool after just one game

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Am I the only person that thinks the Phoenix Suns could realistically win the Pacific Division and challenge as a Top 6 seed in the Western Conference if everything breaks right? Better team than people think, that gets REALLY interesting if the young guys take a leap.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Already knew I was going to love watching the Wizards this season. This game confirms that. This team is going to be FUN.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

As expected, the Grizzlies have owned the paint so far against the Jazz. Great rebounding advantage, and the length at forward, not just center, hasn’t made life easy for the Jazz despite Keyonte George and Darryn Peterson doing their best.

[Nathan Grubel @DraftDeeper]

Yea, Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball will be must-watch television in primetime. Damn these two are fun together
