On this the first Friday of our season, we awarded winners of our Octathalon Competition! We awarded a top team, top varsity girl and boy, and top junior high girl and boy! A ton of fun and some great team building competition!
Our final notice is for our biggest dude. Ashton Kisch returns from a soph campaign that ended with a 2nd place finish last season in the discus ๐ฅ. He currently sits as #3 all time disc, #6 all time shot, with ambitions to improve both of those!
Ms. @AllieSveen is proof that height doesn't stop a hurdler๐She placed 3rd in the section just missing state in the 100 hurdles (#4 all time) and made her state debut in the 300s! (#2 all time) last season. She is back and running better than ever!
Our final senior fella is our returning senior state entrant. Nick Walch was the section champ in the pole vault a season ago, and has goals of improving on that mark! He currently has the #8 all time mark in the event. He also is a 300 hurdler and works the horizontal jumps!
On our guys side of the program, we return 5 seniors for their final campaign.
Wyatt Shones is a sprinter/jumper for us who has been nothing short of consistent in his career. A regular in the 100, 200, sprint relays & long jump, we are excited for his development to finalize
#4 on the list is a guy whose been competing at a high level since he burst onto the scene as a soph. @NickWozney is the lone remaining member of a 2021 4x2 that place 3rd at state, setting the school record in the process. He is a staple relay guy and striving for 40' in TJ
Our other returning lady is a S.T.U.D!!! @laurenrott04 returns for her senior campaign with 1 goal in mind; a state title! She signed her D1 letter this past winter with St. Thomas to throw disc. She is the school record holder in the event, as well as #5 in shot put.
As we have entered week 3 of our spring season, we want to make a shout out to our returning seniors and state entrants.
We are blessed to have seniors return to finish their careers for us, so let's see who we have!
Starting with the ladies, we have D Crew member MollyKate Hagen! She returns to us in her final season looking to better her times as the #5 all time 1600 runner, and #3!! 3200 runner! Looking forward to a great season from her!
Its only right with March Madness going on SE Minnesota gets its own version of Cardiac Kemba.
