@AfricaFirsts Here it’s simply notorious for drawing people in with good winter weather with the shortest flight time from Europe, before hitting them with epic food poisoning.
@O4Petes@RO5A7INA White people who left the beach essentially died at 100% rate. Now I’m sure they might have hoovered up a few unlucky souls fishing down on the beach but most African slaves were captured by Africans. Incentivised yes by European money, but then that’s the story isn’t it.
@O4Petes@RO5A7INA Uh African Kings had a great deal to do with it and were incredibly miffed when the British after having their own time profiting from it called time.
@johannesmkx I feel very confident the vast majority of gay men and women would be appalled if any group including their own could escape scrutiny due to their sexuality or any other group characteristic.
Where the safeguarding failed we must make sure that there is no squeamishness in future
@johannesmkx I think that this was a gay couple is important. Not necessarily because they are inherently more likely to abuse the child, although that may be the case I don’t know the stats.
Instead my issue is the safeguarding failed and I’m worried that it wasn’t applied as they were gay.
@JoeMaozzulla Actually particularly American recipes for caramelising onions do advocate adding sugar. Europeans rarely do, so our point holds.
And anyone who visits the US knows all your food is far far sweeter than here, even when it’s meant to be savoury.
@Zaliehs1@_HMSP Walking both countryside and ancient cities, museums, independent coffee and tea shops can be quite nice. You don’t have to drink alcohol in a pub either they can be nice to visit and plenty of people choose non-alcoholic drinks either by choice or as they are driving.
@FennellJW Its certainly likely and Brexiteers should have been wary of shadowy Russian accented donors.
It's more the premise I take issue with, the implication that if Putin wanted it it must be bad. He's not a great mind as Ukraine demonstrates. Brexit doesn't have to weaken Europe.
@FennellJW Monthly appearances hardly amount to running a show. But I concede he is a grifter hardly an exception in politics..
Just to be clear I voted against Brexit but accept that a form of it was inevitable. I would have thought 52:48 would be a signpost to EFTA.
