Another NZ Herald article by Derek Cheng, focusing on the mandated vaccination of 12-17 year old New Zealanders, and how the Director General of Health, Ashley Bloomfield, knew about the expert advice of the unnecessary risk of heart inflammation after a second dose - and did NOTHING. And is still saying NOTHING.

Nor did the flawed and incredibly biased Royal Commission ask him to explain himself. Cheng writes: "The commission, after all, didn’t ask him specifically about the advice, so his views are not in the transcripts of his interviews."

Cheng suggests there was no justification for the discrimination that resulted from the My Vaccine Pass on this age group, and even presents legal recourse as an option:

".. whether the vaccine requirements were a justified limit on the rights of the 12-to-17 age group, in light of the advice. Could 12-17s have given informed consent for the vaccine without information the Government/ministry had, but didn’t tell them?"

This could apply to EVERYONE coerced, mandated and injured under the Protection Framework, of course.

Cheng writes: "[Bloomfield's] public silence since the release of the Royal Commission of Inquiry Phase Two report suggests, at best, that he has nothing to add beyond what he’s already told the commission. At worst, it fuels speculation he has something to hide from a community who are already angry the advice was not implemented or made public at the time."

"Its revelation has been vindication and validation for many New Zealanders who didn’t want the 12-17s in their families to have two doses. Many have told the Herald how they were criticised and ostracised for taking a similar view, we now know, to the expert group."

"... young people needed vaccine passes – and two doses – to partake in activities such as school rowing, going to the cinema, or working in the supermarket."
"Some weren’t double-vaxxed and were excluded. Some felt coerced into having a second dose, and then got sick, rushing into emergency care when chest pain escalated."

Cheng did not mention the confirmed case of a DEATH of a 13 year old boy after the Covid jab.

Expectations per funding agreements: Content must "actively promote" Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles (Partnership/Participation/Active Protection; Māori as partner), reflect NZ identity/culture/diversity, be accurate/fair/balanced. Publish as agreed, acknowledge funding. Editorial control stays with outlets—but non-compliance risks clawback.

Fact: Taxpayer cash kept many afloat. Te Tiriti clauses aligned recipients with pro-Māori govt narratives; critics (incl. Winston Peters) called it structural bias/bribery. Explains selective silence on stories like this. Trust hit followed.

Canada is on the verge of surpassing 100,000 assisted suicides. That number exceeds the country's entire World War II death toll. 🇨🇦

This is MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying). Track 1 applies to those whose natural death is reasonably foreseeable. Track 2 is where it gets deeply troubling.

Canada's own government website describes Track 2 to apply where a natural death is NOT reasonably foreseeable, leaving hospital bioethicists to determine whether a person has given "serious consideration" to other means of relieving their suffering. There is no clear standard. There is no defined boundary. It is, by design, a massive gray area.

The United Nations has formally told Canada to stop Track 2 entirely. Mental health professionals, disability advocates, and medical groups are raising alarms about how poverty and lack of access to adequate care are shaping patients' decisions to choose death. Even doctors are saying something is inherently wrong here.

Track 2 has not even been formally approved yet. The expansion it would bring is almost unimaginable.

The medical system is supposed to protect the vulnerable. This is not that.

What do Maori get that other Kiwis don't?

I just saw this reply by Democracy Action on Facebook to the question: "Can you give an example of an entitlement that I, as a wāhine Māori, have, that you do not?"

- You have Maori seats in parliament
- Maori wards in local government
- Special consultation rights in numerous government processes (e.g. planning, environment)
- Special representation in resource management bodies such as Whanganui/Waikato River
- We have the power to factually (though not legally) close off important places through "rahui"
- Our worldview ("Te Ao Māori") is expressly promoted across many government agencies (including schools and kindergartens)
- There are publically funded Maori scholarships and special admission pathways for Maori for some university courses
- There is Maori business funding
- There is customary marine title and customary rights (e.g. fishing, hunting, resource gathering)
- There are tax benefits for Maori authorities and "zero rates" arrangements for Maori freehold land

Certainly the list could go on. None of the over 4 million people in NZ without Maori heritage have these privileges.

The math on this project should mass-humble every AI lab on the planet.

1 cubic millimeter. One-millionth of a human brain. Harvard and Google spent 10 years mapping it. The imaging alone took 326 days. They sliced the tissue into 5,000 wafers each 30 nanometers thick, ran them through a $6 million electron microscope, then needed Google’s ML models to stitch the 3D reconstruction because no human team could process the output.

The result: 57,000 cells, 150 million synapses, 230 millimeters of blood vessels, compressed into 1.4 petabytes of raw data. For context, 1.4 petabytes is roughly 1.4 million gigabytes. From a speck smaller than a grain of rice.

Now scale that. The full human brain is one million times larger. Mapping the whole thing at this resolution would produce approximately 1.4 zettabytes of data. That’s roughly equal to all the data generated on Earth in a single year. The storage alone would cost an estimated $50 billion and require a 140-acre data center, which would make it the largest on the planet.

And they found things textbooks don’t contain. One neuron had over 5,000 connection points. Some axons had coiled themselves into tight whorls for completely unknown reasons. Pairs of cell clusters grew in mirror images of each other. Jeff Lichtman, the Harvard lead, said there’s “a chasm between what we already know and what we need to know.”

This is why the next step isn’t a human brain. It’s a mouse hippocampus, 10 cubic millimeters, over the next five years. Because even a mouse brain is 1,000x larger than what they just mapped, and the full mouse connectome is the proof of concept before anyone attempts the human one.

We’re building AI systems that loosely mimic neural networks while still unable to fully read the wiring diagram of a single cubic millimeter of the thing we’re trying to imitate. The original is 1.4 petabytes per millionth of its volume. Every AI model on Earth fits in a fraction of that.

The brain runs on 20 watts and fits in your skull. The data center required to merely describe one-millionth of it would span 140 acres.
