It’s either this MTN CEO is lying to uninformed Nigerians or he is uninformed himself. In the UK, The 3 network unlimited data 24 months plan is currently about £22(40,000 Naira )/month.
Dear Young Nigerians,
One lesson from the 2023 elections, particularly in Lagos, should never be forgotten.
In the period following the presidential election and leading up to the governorship election, we witnessed a troubling shift in public discourse. Conversations that should have focused on competence, governance, development, and the future of our nation were gradually diverted towards tribal sentiments, ethnic divisions, and unnecessary suspicion among citizens.
Many sincere and well-meaning Nigerians participated in these conversations without realising that they were being drawn into narratives carefully designed by others.
Throughout history, whenever politicians find it difficult to compete on ideas, performance, character, or vision, some resort to exploiting the fault lines of ethnicity, religion, and identity. Their calculation is simple: a divided people are easier to manipulate than a united people.
Today, I see similar efforts emerging again, sometimes in more subtle and sophisticated ways. Narratives are planted, amplified, and circulated, often by individuals who genuinely believe they are defending a worthy cause, without recognizing the broader agenda behind such campaigns.
Let me state clearly that Pastor Enoch Adeboye remains one of the foremost fathers of faith in our nation. For decades, he has consistently preached the virtues of peace, prayer, love, reconciliation, and national unity. Even when faced with provocation, his response has always reflected humility, restraint, wisdom, and grace.
At 84 years of age, it would be unfair for young and able-bodied Nigerians to transfer to him responsibilities that properly belong to them. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. It is their duty to lead the conversations, champion the reforms, and drive the positive change our nation urgently requires.
We must be careful not to become instruments in the hands of those who secretly nurture division while publicly preaching unity. In most cases, their target is not the individual being attacked; instead, it is the person who is attacking. Their real objective is to weaken the bonds that hold us together as one people and one nation.
I therefore urge all young Nigerians: do not allow anyone to recruit you into hatred. Do not allow anyone to weaponise your ethnicity, your faith, or your admiration for respected leaders.
Question every narrative. Verify every claim. Follow the facts. Resist manipulation.
The Nigeria of our dreams can only be built by citizens who refuse to be divided, who choose unity over hatred, and who place our collective future above narrow interests.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
One of the craziest things that ever happened to me in football was when I met Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent. At the time, Ronaldo was at his peak at Real Madrid. Everybody around Jorge Mendes wanted an autograph, a signed jersey, or some sort of memorabilia from Ronaldo.
But me, I only wanted to ask one question.
I said, “Can you ask Ronaldo what the secret to his scoring is?”
Then he came back to me with Ronaldo’s answer.
He said Ronaldo told him: “I do not see the goalkeeper.”
That statement shocked me.
What Ronaldo meant was that he trains himself so well that before he even takes the shot, he already knows exactly where he wants to put the ball. It doesn’t matter who the goalkeeper is. It doesn’t matter if there are defenders blocking. It doesn’t matter if there are two goalkeepers in the post.
He already knows where the ball is going.
Most average players focus on the goalkeeper. They worry about Buffon, Neuer, Casillas, or the defenders in front of them.
But elite players already know what they want to do before they even receive the ball.
That is why Ronaldo scores against elite goalkeepers consistently. He trusts his preparation, his technique, and his repetition.
And that is the lesson for every young player.
Stop focusing on names.
Stop focusing on fear.
Stop focusing on who is in front of you.
Focus on yourself.
Become a perfect machine.
Train so hard that your body already knows what to do under pressure.
Because at the highest level, confidence comes from preparation.
If you prepare properly, it won’t matter who you are playing against.
I went to secondary school in Barkin Ladi 20 years ago. This is what SS1 - 3 boys were doing, night shifts in the blistering cold. I did it too. My mates in Oyo were sleeping or studying. I’ve watched this shit deteriorate in real time.
Barkin Ladi now looks nothing like it did when I graduated 14 years ago. I went to the same junction we used to buy stuff during outings last year & I was shaking. They don’t speak the same language. Crisis after crisis. Slowly, the people who used to till those lands are now doing menial jobs in the south. The names of the villages have changed. The senator representing that region was killed few days after I graduated when he attended a mass funeral of people who were massacred by the Fulanis who now occupy their homes. 14 years ago guys.
Trying to raise awareness about this state-backed conquest feels like screaming under water.
Few months ago, my aunt in mangu came to ask for money to trade cause she can’t farm anymore. Their farms were attacked 3 years ago. They wouldn’t dare go back.
For more than 10 years, we’ve had internally displaced persons from Borno living in our house, after my mother took them in. They only go back to their so-called homes for funerals. 3 brilliant kids; Elizabeth, Margaret and Grace (named after my now late mother for her benevolence). The dad does security work, the mom cleans. Who knows what they could’ve made of themselves back home? I do, they’d have been compost for aliens.
It always starts small then it spirals out of control. We’ve seen all kinds of terror. I wish they just came and shot people but that’s not fun enough. Bullets are for runners. They’ll slice pregnant women open to kill their fetuses. They’ll feed women their kid’s fingers. They burn people alive, hack them with machetes. When people try to defend themselves, that’s when soldiers come in. They call it farmer-herder clashes. They say cattle was rustled. Cattle was rustled? That’s why you renamed my village and put 200 people in a mass grave ?
I remember @YarKafanchan saying that she wept after the 2015 elections cause she knew her people would die like flies & then what happened in southern kaduna? When people talk, they say where’s the evidence? But what about the bodies? Dying is a morbid thing to be skilled at but boy, we have experience.
We’ve seen “strategists” platform them and defend all manner of wrongdoing on the alter of political correctness.
Omoh, let me just stop here.

Popular Nigerian activist Justice Crack, whose real name is Mark Chidiebere Justice, has been reported missing.
He has not been seen since Tuesday, April 28, when he was last spotted around noon at the NAOWA Shopping Complex in Asokoro, Abuja. Since then, his phone has been switched off and all efforts to reach him have been unsuccessful.
His wife first raised the alarm, while fellow activists, including Mr. Commonsense and Official Gana, have called for public help in locating him. Before his disappearance, Justice Crack had been posting videos criticising the welfare of soldiers and speaking on the alleged killing of an NYSC member by soldiers in Abuja.
The military has reportedly denied holding him. As of now, his whereabouts remain unknown. This is a developing story. Anyone with information should contact his family or the police immediately.
If you are an advocate for a better Nigeria, don’t allow this kind of news make you fear. It should rather motivate you to fire up. For me, fear died in 2019. The life I live now is a borrowed one. Never be a coward as long as you are on the path of truth. And to whoever is holding him - you won’t live forever. Remember, you too will be held.
