So once again, payday came and went at the @TheCanaryUK, and myself and a bunch of former Canary staff have not been paid. It has been four days since some of us were meant to receive our final wages and/or outstanding holiday pay.
Multiple lines of communication have completely broken down and former staff are facing terrifying insecurity. Several people are on the brink of homelessness.
We don’t want a fight, staffers just want to be paid what they’re owed @TheCanaryUK
My former @TheCanaryUK colleagues have still not been paid their final pay and holiday. Numerous emails have been ignored. Multiple marginalised people will struggle to afford bills and keep roofs over their heads.
Our employer @CanaryUK hasn’t paid into our Nest pensions since March. This is despite it being taken from our pay each month. This is less urgent than the final pay situation, but still important.
A completely black king penguin, one of the rarest colour mutations ever seen in the wild, was photographed among a colony on South Georgia Island
Partial melanism is thought to affect around 1 in 250,000 penguins, and a fully black one is even rarer
From Monday I will be bringing you all the latest news on Penguins, nature, Antarctica, and the climate crisis on substack and across my social media platforms. I am super excited to finally be writing on the subjects closest to my heart.

“Not all men”… just your husband of multiple years.
“Not all men”… but just multiple men of all ages and backgrounds from one small part of the UK.
“Not all men”… but just police who use their badge to hunt women.
“Not all men”… but just 70,000 in one rape group chat.
When this happened in France it was headline news in the UK for months.
Now it’s happened in the UK and we’re relying on foreign media orgs to report it?
