In order to turn our ‘smallness’ into our strongest strength we must ask some hard questions of ourselves.
Today’s @fijitimes has published an edited version of my speech delivered at a seminar on August 9 associated with last week’s Forum Economic Ministers Meeting in Suva.
Malo aupito PM of Tonga @Huakavameiliku for the opportunity to meet with @ForumSEC and @spc_cps, and ahead of @TongaParliament workshop on this week on key regional issues and international issues.
Economic growth, education, gender parity, climate resilience - Tonga's recovery realities and achievements resonate across my Thursday meetings, which wrapped with the National Business Conference closer event.

Stop the hate. Set up guardrails. Enforce them.
Great to receive Pacific Islands Forum, Secretary General in Honiara. Henry Puna a great friend of 🇸🇧. HLPC with 🇸🇧. Discussions focused on keeping Pacific nuclear free; review of the regional architecture; partnership dialogue; strengthening the unity of the region.
Two weeks ago, I was asked if I wanted to stay in the job as @ForumSEC SG, I responded from the heart. Ofcourse I am keen to continue serving the region but to be clear, I also recognise that regional solidarity is paramount and I am committed to working with Leaders on this.
