On June 15, 2012 I stood with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to announce our agreement to build a new international crossing between Windsor and Detroit. In May 2015, the Governor and I together announced the bridge would be named in honour of Gordie Howe, a great Canadian hockey hero who led the Detroit Red Wings to four Stanley Cups and inspired a generation of young Canadians and Americans.
Today, despite challenges and delays, I am proud to see the Gordie Howe International Bridge officially opened. May it long continue Gordie Howe’s legacy of connecting our two great countries, fuelling growth and opportunity for decades to come.
Laureen and I are excited to be in Ottawa this week and looking forward to seeing so many friends and former colleagues from across our great country. We’re grateful for the chance to reconnect and celebrate our government’s 20th anniversary with everyone!
Admittedly, I’m a bit of a Coca-Cola enthusiast. A state-of-the-art Coca-Cola facility for bottling production supplying all Western Canada is pretty cool.
Great meeting the proud workers and touring their facility.
@YaroslavB Beautifully written @YaroslavB. Tara was such a caring and wonderful person. Her infectious smile and laugh will be deeply missed. God bless you and your family.
My first boss in August 1992. A great Minister, MP, father, husband, and friend. One of the great ones passed away today. I learned a lot. Thank you Jake Epp! You will be missed dearly!

While door-knocking in Gravenhurst last night, I met up with John Reimer, a former Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament in the Mulroney government, and his wife Mary.
John and Mary are voting for change, for their kids, for their grandkids, and for this country. I'm honoured to have their support.
Vote for change. Vote Scott!
Exemptions to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) have allowed #pharmacists to play a vital role supporting patients and ensuring uninterrupted treatment.
In addition to making the exemptions permanent, we need to further empower pharmacists by designating them as practitioners under the CSDA.
I was at the airport this afternoon as a flight full of Chiefs fans arrived on Southwest. High marks to the NFTA for trolling fans by playing the “Shout” song in baggage claim. Welcome to WNY #ChiefsKingdom#Billsmafia#Bills @WKBW
