Senator @Bob_Casey has been a champion for veterans for almost two decades.
We’re mobilizing Pennsylvania veterans to ensure Sen. Casey can continue to fight for our health care, benefits, and the resources so many in our community need.

I’ve long believed that we have an obligation to serve the brave men and women who fought for our Nation. I’m proud to have so many of our Pennsylvania heroes by my side in this re-election campaign. #VeteransForCasey
🔵 We are the party of Roosevelt, who defeated the Nazis.
🔵 We are the party of Kennedy, who combatted an oppressive Russian regime.
🔵 We are the party of Johnson, who stood against racism and hatred.
#Democrats – We’ve been here before & it’s time to get back to work.
🔥🔥 Thank you for @RepDean for fighting for the millions of Veterans who will be impacted by Trump & Musk’s reckless and depraved mass layoffs at the VA! Shameful!
🗣️ “DOGE and this incompetent, chaotic administration are breaking our most sacred promised to our veterans.”
So much for a “meritocracy.”
Last night at the Pentagon, President Trump and Secretary Hegseth dismantled a core principle of American democracy: the apolitical military.
Let me explain what’s going on and why it is deeply dangerous for our country: 🧵
PA stands by our Veterans, their jobs and their healthcare! When you illegally fire thousands of Veterans, “You’ve got an enemy in Pennsylvania.” #50501
No one knows what caused last night's tragic crash outside DCA.
Investigations are ongoing, and no one - not Donald Trump or anyone else - should be drawing conclusions until all the facts have been released.
But here is what we do know. (1/7)
Intelligence officials are starting to leak to me now too. Here’s a memo Defense Intelligence Agency personnel received instructing them to suspend observances including:
- Holocaust Remembrance Day
- MLK Day
- Juneteenth
You know who relies on federal grants?
-Veterans who need housing
-Hungry kids whose parents rely on SNAP benefits
-Police officers who need equipment
-Families who've lost their homes in natural disasters
These are the Americans the Admin has decided to target. It's shameful.
It's hard to convey to anyone who wasn't in the military how deeply embarrassing and dangerous Pete Hegseth as SecDef will be.
Pete is profoundly unprepared and ill equipped for the job by any measure and servicemembers will die due to his incompetency.
BREAKING: Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, has died. Chip Carter, a son of the former president, said his father died about 3:40 p.m. on Sunday in his Plains home. https://t.co/tNMhXtGPDH
Thank you Senator Casey for your steadfast leadership.
Pennsylvania Veterans will always appreciate your work in fighting to pass the PACT Act for which millions of service members and their families have benefited from.
That legislation saved lives- and we will not forget it.
During my time in office, I have been guided by an inscription on the Finance Building in Harrisburg: “All public service is a trust, given in faith and accepted in honor.”
Thank you for your trust in me for all these years, Pennsylvania. It has been the honor of my lifetime.
Pennsylvania is home to 800,000 veterans who served our Commonwealth and country with honor, integrity, and valor.
Our veterans are the very best of us — and their commitment to service should be an inspiration to everyone.
Happy Veterans Day, Pennsylvania.
And to all of our veterans, we’ve got your back.
Today, we honor all our veterans who have defended and fought for our democracy.
They prove that we are a nation that can meet darkness with light, no matter how high the cost or how heavy the burden.
May we all strive to be worthy of their sacrifices for us.
On Veterans Day, we honor all those who have selflessly served our Nation and protected our freedoms. Thank you to all our Veterans. May we be worthy of their valor. 🇺🇸
What's left in Pennsylvania to count?
Having called counties individually and many providing an exact total or a soft estimate, we're likely to finish with about ~115,000 additional ballots added to the count before all counties are done.
~90,000 provisional ballots
~17,500 UOCAVA (military and overseas citizens)
~10,000 remaining absentee mail ballots
Not all provisional ballots will be counted, but the majority will (~90%). A dozen small rural counties have already completed their provisional ballot counting, leaving what's left above largely pro-Casey.
Allegheny ~16,000 ballots
Philadelphia ~21,000 ballots
Montgomery ~9,000 ballots
With Dave McCormick enjoying a 41,135 vote lead and Cambria County having finished counting their ED votes, the three counties above will likely cut that lead to under 20,000 (Casey will win them by ~50 points collectively). The rest of PA has 70,000 votes, which Casey would need to win by ~25 points to bring the contest to a dead heat.
All of this is to say two things.
1. Dave McCormick remains the favorite
2. Assumptions are required to estimate statewide ballots remaining, adjudicated provisional rates, UOCAVA returns (which can still be accepted until Tuesday), and how these ballots will break.
Assumptions = uncallable.
We have a three-day weekend ahead, and most PA counties will not release any new votes until Tuesday.
Follow the race, and all the vote drops at DDHQ -

I have dedicated my life to making sure Pennsylvanians’ voices are heard, whether on the floor of the Senate or in a free and fair election. It has been made clear there are more than 100,000 votes still to be counted. Pennsylvania is where our democratic process was born. We must allow that process to play out and ensure that every vote that is eligible to be counted will be counted. That is what Pennsylvania deserves.
