I use my 'real' Twitter for u k r a i n e activism - my main focus in life now - so I have unfollowed some friends there and followed them here as this is the 'fun' feed. Except not really, because it's Twitter, but y'know. It's unlikely I will become any more active, however.
This is a variation of what I've been doing for 7 months, on UK time. I used to grab the phone in fear at 5am, now I pick it up when I wake at a normal time, actually looking forward to what it might say. Of course that's complacent, but it also reflects how things have gone.
@doctornerdingt1 I saw this by chance, having almost totally abandoned Twitter myself. But YES, this is the road to sanity, welcome along it, bring your friends.
The Enduring Man by pennypaperbrain https://t.co/7UV8cyUeV0 via @ao3org "Loki raises his hand and rips at the back of it with his teeth, and spits blood, and says, his expression a mixture of plea and threat, ‘I did not ask to be mad. It hurts.’"
My girlfriend is part of a collective of LGBTQ+ filmmakers and artists in Kyiv. They are currently collecting money for basic needs, medical supplies and relocation for those who want it. https://t.co/zENEhYLMun
Now I just remembered conventional morality and I should clarify that I am still with my beloved Ponder. Ponder's gf is coming to stay this weekend and I am going round Boris Johnson's house to wave a 'Stop Putin' banner.
Oh ffs that thread looked like I was announcing a happy relationship, with war as a secondary irritation. No. No. War is THING. Meanwhile, articulacy is not thing. Did I mention I can't twitter. *ceases twittering*
I still live on tumblr and can be found issuing stunned and repetitive updates about missile strikes there. I am not prone to panic, but I can safely say I'm fixated.
In really unexpected developments last year, I got a girlfriend. Someone I've known in fandom for years and met IRL before. I visited her for four days in December. It was amazing. I love her. She's Ukrainian and lives in Kyiv.
