@MarkMaddenX The criteria: the player has to be universally considered the best player at their position in the league for at least one season. The current members minus 21 fit that criteria, and 87 and 71 will fit, placing 29 on the bubble. But then the cut off is very clear.
@MarkMaddenX Did the Pens paint themselves in a corner to sign 71 since they went all in on celebrating Ovi's "pending retirement" and nothing for Geno?
@bilythekid33@MarkMaddenX That is exactly right. Plus, he has a more legit diagnosis with his stroke history than the "equipment allergy" they pulled with Hossa.
@penguins But hey, at least you mismanaged the entire lineup so that in the past week, instead of preparing for the playoffs, you bent over backwards to celebrate a star on a rival team's pending retirement. Oh wait, now he's not retiring!
@JoshYohe_PGH It's time - next press conference, light up the league - go all in so that it makes the rounds all over the media. Take the fine - it's worth it.
@MarkMaddenX Did Dubas trade Jarry knowing the locker room would get the boo boo face and therefore put the rebuild back on track instead of the playoff fantasy?
@JoshYohe_PGH LTIR is the answer. Sit him down, thank him for everything, and tell him he'll get paid but can't play anymore. The Pens have to stop being so "moral" when it comes to this. Pronger, Weber, Hossa, Oshie all come to mind - and Datsyuk played in the KHL while on LTIR!
@MarkMaddenX Dubas had much bigger needs to fill in the past offseason, going after Karlsson was completely unnecessary. Shedding bad contracts was the only plus.
@RfElic_412 @JoshYohe_PGH@penguins The responsible thing for an organization that claims to care about their fans is to give a heads up more than 12 hours in advance - that's just good business. Doesn't affect me personally in the least, but it does put others out.
