I was the guy with the trumpet at the outdoor Penguins playoff games from '08-'12.
@MarkMaddenX Yinz are overcomplicating this. Art II had no intention of getting rid of Tomlin so it should be no surprise that he replaced him with the closest he could get to Tomlin. Sure there was opportunity for change, but why change what you think has been working?
@AJamesMcCarthy Used a lot I've learned from you, @NebulaPhotos, and @erfmufn and I thought that purple was something I screwed up! Appreciate all y'all do and teach!
@realhomerhickam@elonmusk Not to mention the timing. Drop that at 7PM CT on a Saturday with a Monday 1100 deadline or considered resigned? Am I supposed to pay my civilians weekend overtime to deal with that? (especially those on the west coast and further)
It's too damn cold in North Dakota for telescopes and cameras (and even me) so my "Parade of Planets" will, for now, have to be a compilation of my best pictures to date of our Solar System family. Sol (with eclipse corona), Luna, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, C/2021A1, C/2023A3
@AJamesMcCarthy With 10 minutes before it reappears...here's my first go with an old C8. Still have a lot to learn...hoping better for the flip side here! Always love seeing your stuff and learning from it!
Tried the technique @AstroBackyard showed in his latest video on a set of data from 4 years ago. I thought the shot was cool back then as it was my longest exposure but I didn't realize that so much more was hidden in there! Now if I would have only taken calibration frames...
My first attempt at the Eagle nebula and the Pillars of Creation with my old 1970s Celestron C8 back in September.
If anyone knows why my stars are so soft I'd love some pointers!!! Was using the ASIAir with autofocus but that's as good as I can get with my stars.
