48 years ago this week, November 1978 issue of National Geographic came out. It featured an article on a former 🇮🇪banker John Weaving living out his retirement birdwatching with his beloved dogs Brocky and Twiggy on the Shannon River in Ireland.
"One dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way, and this guy's sayin', 'Whadda ya want from me?'"
“Looks like somebody we know”.

Rest in Peace Donnie Iris.
A Midwest gem with the Buddy Holly look and new wave licks & tricks. He always made 80’s commercial radio better with a spin of his classic tunes
“Ah, Leah” & “Do You Compute?”
One day Donnie learned how to dubSmash and he sent me like 10-15 of these and they're so friggin funny. I was like "what are you smoking" and he said "Arturo Fuente"
Here was Donnie sitting in with the Stones cover band I hired for my Halloween party in like 09 or something. They were from NJ and had a book written about them or something, anyway- Donnie loved them and they couldn't BELIEVE that DONNIE IRIS was there (and they loved JoeG too)

NO one sang like @donnieiris & no one laughed like him either. Not sure which I will miss most now that KING COOL is gone. Blessed to have called him a friend. We talked/texted every @WDVE#MemorialDay500 to see how his songs were doing laughed whole time https://t.co/pSYOivAt7j
Donnie Iris was a giant. An absolute joy to be friends with. There should be a statue of Donnie erected immediately & put at the Wylie. His talent was only matched by his kindness & he was the best hang you could ever ask for. RIP King Cool you’ll live on forever in Pittsburgh
