Smart but empathetic people need to stop attuning themselves to others to make them feel comfortable and let themselves be perceived as a bit of an asshole sometimes.
The best way to know if someone will be kind in return is if they ask you questions rather than assuming you’re judging them for expressing an opinion.
You can improve the delivery with social grace & humor but it isn’t your duty to shrink!
Desperation has a smell.
People can feel it before you even speak. The forced energy, the chasing, the trying-too-hard shit, it shows. Whether it's attention, love, success, or validation, desperation pushes things away instead of pulling them closer. And yeah, that sucks to hear, but calm confidence always wins over needy energy. The moment your happiness depends on being chosen, approved, or noticed by everyone else, you start losing yourself. Real power comes from being good on your own, staying grounded, and moving with purpose instead of panic. Because the truth is, the less desperately you beg life to happen for you, the more naturally things begin to flow your way. Stop forcing every damn thing. What's meant for you won't need that much bullshit chasing.
Think about this for a moment.
If everyone on this earth died, and you alone remained, you would go mad within days. You would not last long. Not because of hunger or thirst, but because the very ground of your existence would have vanished.
Every other being on this planet is quietly giving life to your life.
You earn because someone is there to pay you.
You win because someone is there to lose.
You compete because someone is there to push against.
You love because someone is there to receive it.
You enjoy because someone is there to share the moment or even just witness it from a distance.
Your entire life is held up by the lives of others. Strangers you will never meet are propping up your world right now.
The farmer who grew your rice, the worker who laid the road you drove on today, the unknown soul whose presence on this earth keeps the very texture of human life intact. All of them.
This is why our Rishis spoke of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् (vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam). The whole earth is one family. It was never poetry.
It was a direct observation of how existence actually works.
The man who hates others, who curses others, who wishes harm on others, does not realize what he is doing.
He is striking at the very roots that feed him. He is sawing the branch he is sitting on.
Be grateful for every being around you. Even the ones who trouble you. Even the ones you do not like.
They are part of the invisible structure holding your life upright.
The day you truly feel this, your behaviour with the world changes forever.
Loving yourself fully is the only way to accept the full force of someone else’s love!
If you let cultural propaganda get to you, you’ll be too busy fighting for external approval or vying for social power to allow space to be present and receive someone else’s joy, silliness, anger, etc
Having a mission isn’t just for the boys, the ladies need to pour their passion into something they truly believe in just as much!
My therapist once said "growth is realizing that someone's inconsistency is a sign to step back, not a challenge to prove your worth" and i think y'all need to engrave this into your soul.
