I personally think we’ve learnt our lesson and we are really really sorry. We’ve done a lot of growing up since then and that’s the real journey. No need to punish us further
People are saying it like Man City were cheating on the pitch that’s why they were winning.
1. Financial information — 54 charges
From 2009/10 to 2017/18, City were accused of failing to provide accurate financial information to the Premier League.
This particularly concerned: revenue, sponsorship, income, operating costs
the club’s overall financial position
2. Player and manager payments — 14 charges
City were accused of failing to properly disclose the full amounts paid to players and managers between 2009/10 and 2017/18.
3. UEFA Financial Fair Play — 5 charges
City were accused of failing to comply with UEFA’s financial regulations/FFP rules between 2013/14 and 2017/18.
4. Premier League Profitability & Sustainability Rules — 7 charges
They were also accused of breaching the Premier League’s own profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) during 2015/16–2017/18.
5. Failure to cooperate — 35 charges
City were accused of not properly cooperating with the Premier League’s investigation, which ran from December 2018 to February 2023.
But I keep seeing people talk about it as if the charges prove that City won all those Premier League titles because they cheated on the pitch.
There is no charge here saying City fixed matches, bribed referees, manipulated results or illegally influenced individual games.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City found guilty on virtually all charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. #MCFC expected to appeal against verdict issued by independent commission. Sanctions undecided, process ongoing @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/Muxqp4beK9
🚨⚫️⚪️ BREAKING: Newcastle reach verbal agreement with Man City for Nico González, here we go!
Understand fee will be £47m plus £3m add-ons, green light from the player after progress revealed overnight.
Nico, ready to join #NUFC project where he will be a key player.
🚨🔵⚪️ BREAKING: Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City, here we go! Deal agreed club to club.
Fee to reach €100m package with add-ons, as @FabriceHawkins reports. Green light from Lille to the sale.
Bouaddi agreed terms with City in July and now set to join #MCFC project.
Manchester City plans to add AT LEAST four high-value players between now and the end of the transfer window. Savinho and Marmoush are expected to join Rodri and Reijnders in leaving the club.
As we've previously highlighted, the club's plans for the window have not deviated. The strategy remains in place, even if the pace at which it has unfolded has not been optimal. Much of that has come down to Rodri's behaviour and the uncertainty he created.
There is a forward player in La Liga, a forward player in the Premier League, and a forward player in South America, all in the frame for the last two weeks of the window. Two of them will be signed. Ibrahim Mbaye won't be signed.
Midfield reinforcement remains in the same place it was a week ago. Ayyoub Bouaddi will be a Manchester City player this summer. While all the noise is around Enzo Fernandez, that deal remains the least likely, and the one the club has the least interest in completing.
As reported by the well-sourced Jack Gaughan, Manu Kone is an option if Nico Gonzalez leaves, but he is not considered a priority. There remain at least two Premier League based midfielders who Manchester City would like to prioritise.
The smoke and mirrors we warned about when we first started this account have been in full effect in recent days. The rush to "report" certain aspects of the window has led to a real lack of critical thinking, which we would normally expect from people who are paid to think critically. That's why you are seeing so much conjecture.
Rest assured, Manchester City supporters. Whilst the transfer window feels unorthodox, there's always method behind the moves made by Khaldoon Al Mubarak and his executive team. Things will look very different in two weeks' time.
@osman_c10 You got one premier league trophy in the city era and think you are the dogs bollocks. Rodri won has more ballon dors more CL more Prems than your whole club.
