@hippierani People need to be aware of the fact that others need not enjoy their kids antics like they do.
As I mentioned before, this is not applicable if the kid does have certain issues and people usually are very supportive if that is the case

@hippierani I disagree. I am a parent and love being one. There are cases when the kid does have a behavior disorder or is on the spectrum and your logic is definitely valid then. However, otherwise it is about parenting and teaching kids how to be considerate of others and how to behave.

@hippierani I have quite a lot of examples of parents who I am friends with bragging about how misbehaved their kid is coz they think it means the kid is smart. They don’t feel the need to discipline and think everyone around enjoys the antics

@chutneylife I am Indian, Indians in groups are loud and the kids are unruly and disruptive. I was so embarrassed recently when I went out with a group. The kids ran around and made so much noise while the parents ignored all that.

@KannanK51531500 @minicnair A lot of hindus have a temple wedding. I say a lot because there may be regions or demographics that do not follow this. But it is very common in the region that I am from.Keep in mind that this is a very simple function with a handful of attendees.

My family asked the delivery person for options but were met with hostility. They asked if we could sent the OTP to him via sms later or if he could come back in 15 mins because the flight would land soon. He was not open for conversation, took the package to return it to sender

@BlueDartCares OTP for courier delivery may be for well intended purposes but it is sometimes a huge pain. This is not the first time when I got a courier but I was on the flight and my family could not collect it due to the OTP.

Today as I am walking near his school grounds , I wonder if this is all going to change coz we cannot control guns .My son asked me today why they don’t have metal detectors in their school entrance . Will it be a new normal ? Is the trust going away coz we cannot control guns ?

I relocated to the US in my early 30’s. I missed having my family and the support they gave . I missed being able to visit friends and relatives unannounced . I missed the comfort and familiar surroundings. And it was difficult getting settled here . But I still loved America .

I loved America coz of the independence , coz there were no fences and people didn’t feel the need for them , coz I felt safe always .
I found it fascinating that my son’s elementary school did not have walls and i as a mom could drop in to volunteer etc .
