In the first place, Filipino as a LANGUAGE isn't even Latin. Even if we have thousands of Spanish loan words from being colonized so long, it's still an Austronesian language, most of which are gender neutral. We don't folllow the same rules or have the same sensibilities.

My stepdad has been living there there for 30 years and was in the citizenship process until he dropped it. One of the requirements was to have a close relative write a letter (handwritten) in your native language confirming your birthplace and such and translating it to JP.

You have to live in Japan for 10 years just to qualify, followed by strict screenings given on a case-by-case basis.

I think this is so great for the queer women community here. I studied in all-girls schools from prep all the way to high school in the early 2000's to mid 2010's, so I've seen it all. And it's so rare to see any good representation of it.

@Cardlinish I dont think seeing or hearing about the bts necessarily ruins the experience. Movies release bts and director's commentary all the time and that doesnt ruin immersion because the magic is in the moment. If anything it's another point of interest
