‘HOW CAN THAT BE VALID?’
Chiz Escudero.
“They cite the case of Avelino vs. Cuenco where the Supreme Court considered 12 as the majority. But as any freshman law student knows, you can't pull out the rationale of a case and use it to suit your needs,” pagkuwestiyon ni Cayetano.
'SENATE TAKEOVER [IS] UNCONSTITUTIONAL’ - SEN. LOREN LEGARDA
READ: Sen. Loren Legarda said that the change in leadership in the Senate today, June 3, 2026, is unconstitutional. The Senator raised "serious constitutional concerns," pointing out that no senator can validly act as Senate President on the strength of only twelve votes.
“Until there is a vacancy, resignation, expulsion, final disqualification, or other legal basis recognized by law, their seats remain part of the Senate’s full membership,” Sen. Loren Legarda.

CAYETANO TO MINORITY: 'KAYO 'YUNG NAMEMERSONAL'
Senate President Alan Cayetano holds a livestream on Facebook again following the Senate minority's call for his resignation on Tuesday.
"The issue is not work. The issue is our priority," he said.
The minority issued a joint statement urging Cayetano to step down after the absence of the majority from the plenary sessions for two consecutive days.

The problem is wala ka sa kanto! If that were your basis, edi maging tambay ka nalang. And besides, hindi mo naman talaga alam yun meaning. Get out of the Senate! You f**l!"
‘IBA TALAGA ANG PANGANGATWIRAN NG GENIUS’
Senator Robin Padilla took to social media to defend himself from the “geniuses” who lambasted him for his definition of “force majeure.”
Dahil ikukulong sa abroad,” he wrote on Saturday.
Padilla is pushing the argument that Sen. Bato Dela Rosa is already allowed under Senate rules to attend sessions through “teleconference, video conference or other reliable forms of remote or electronic means” because the condition is if there is “force majeure or the occurrence of a national emergency.”

@senatePH
‘HINDI BA KAMI MGA MATURE NA TAO, NA PAG-USAPAN NAMIN ITO… BAKIT KA MAGWA-WALK OUT?’
