i launched private equity coin because for years i gave everything to startups that gave me nothing back. even to this date.

i stayed late, skipped weekends, burned through my 20s helping grow companies i believed in only to watch new execs walk in, negotiate equity on day one, and leave months or years later with more upside than i ever saw. i never got a slice. just the burnout.

at the same time, i watched what happened when private equity firms stepped in. they’d buy a company that was finally hitting stride and within months the soul was gone. culture replaced by consultants. good people pushed out. systems gutted. all in the name of "efficiency." and they say it's "nothing personal, just business."

so yeah i never liked pe, still don't. and when i got the chance to make something that flipped the whole concept on its head, i ran with it.

private equity coin is a joke, a meme as you know. but behind it is something real...a deep frustration with how upside is distributed, how power moves and who gets to win.

what we’ve built so far, the community, the holder count, the genuine momentum, has been nothing short of magic. it’s a passion project, but it’s also a protest. against the old models. against the extractors. against the systems that told us to wait our turn while others skipped the line.

i’m proud of what we’re trying to do here. it brings me a lot of joy to finally be on the other side of the joke.
