I witnessed a violent assault near #KenningtonPark this morning. The victim was left bleeding from two head wounds and couldn't stand.

When I called 999, I was told NO AMBULANCE would be sent and that I should take him to hospital myself. (Photo below.)

I insisted on speaking to someone else and was transferred back through the system. After explaining everything again, the second call handler couldn't believe no ambulance had been dispatched and made sure one was sent.

It took around 30 minutes.
