@PattyMurray The problem isn't guns. The problem is that in America you are on your own, because CONSERVATIVES don't give a damn what happens to anyone but themselves. They enjoy the benefits of living in a country with 330 million people, but refuse to accept the responsibilities.
@screenrant Just don't let Taika direct the next Thor without a completed script. He tried to find Love and Thunder in post and ended up with a mish mash of a movie. The action, comedy and drama were great, but without being focused by a clear story, they constantly undermined each other.
@SimuLiu @demaris_webb @SimuLiu it DOES feel good to be arguing about movies instead of politics and a pandemic. it's just nice to be back to a little bit of normal. movie lovers arguing about movies. :)
@Variety Marvel movies make vastly more money than movie star movies ever made with rare exceptions. The problem isn't Marvel. It's the studios who are chasing franchise box office and simply not producing movie star movies anymore.
@elonmusk@Rainmaker1973 That's because you're a workaholic. Try living instead of working and see if you feel different about it. Life is amazing once you actually start living it.
@DannyTRS I had been a foster child since I was a baby when I saw Project X. It's sad to remember this, but, I related to the monkeys in the movie. But seeing people care so much that they were willing to risk everything to set them free had a profound affect on me that changed my life.
@sullydish Life is short and if choosing to be a man or a woman makes you happy, I wish you all happiness.
BUT the medical technology to do this is EXTREMELY primitive and therefore EXTREMELY risky.
These two things are true at the same time.
@WSJ@WSJopinion@DanHenninger Who cares if he can? He did what he did. He won't be forgiven. If a minority in this country want to lose a second time, the majority is more than happy to oblige them.
@elonmusk Open source works for code because it is easy to verify whether code actually works. Who has the expertise or resources to verify reporting? Who?
@GeorgeTakei They see it as threatening to their ability to enforce their religious beliefs on all of society. This is why cancelling people is a terrible idea. Either we all agree that we don't get to force our personal beliefs on society or we get to endure this bullshit from both sides.
@SEANgT44@WSJ@WSJopinion The Republican party shouldn't require a repudiation of any kind to stand up to candidates who refuse to accept the results of an election. Refusing to accept the results of an election is what authoritarians and candidates who never had a chance of winning in the first place do.
@EWErickson AND how devoid of national leadership the Republican party has been. Liz Cheney is the best hope for national leadership that the Republican party has at the moment. Of course, the Republican party won't follow her, but Independents and moderate Democrats would.
