If/when Malik Willis fails in Miami, it will prove so many of my long-held theories.

Malik Willis looked terrible in Tennesse. Unplayable. Will Levis dominated him in a quarterback competition with little effort. Levisbis a clearly better player.

Then, suddenly, Jordan Love got hurt and Malik Willis was thrust into the starting role for the Packers. Immediately, Malik Willis was significantly more efficient than Jordan Love in the same offense.

Now, with his newfound hype, Willis has his own starting job with the dolphins, which I expect to go poorly, especially considering how awful he has apparently looked in training camp.

This all proves so many of the theories that I've been espousing for years.

1. Will Levis is pretty good - the Titans are just an abomination that no QB could really overcome. If you were put in a different situation, especially one like green bay, he wouldn't just look a lot better: he would look like a franchise QB.

2. Jordan love is not a good quarterback, just like Aaron Rodgers never deserved to win those MVP awards. Matt LaFleur is just a brilliant coach, who's really good at sheltering his quarterback and creating easy production regardless of who is under center.

3. Malik Willis isn't good. He was never good. He has some good talent, but he's not good at playing football.

4. Although people always want to pretend that quarterbacks develop after getting into the league, the reality is that the dominant cause for variation in quarterback productivity is just situational. The play-calling, the weaponry, and the protection are almost entirely to blame for any "improvements" or "regression."
