Ramo Osmanovic was forced by Serb soldiers to call his son, Nermin, into surrender. Both father and son were executed. Their bodies were dumped into shallow mass graves along with thousands of others. #Srebrenica
After 4 days of our water distribution project being suspended due to the targeting of the desalination plant we work with, we were finally able to resume our work today.
The reality here is difficult. Distributing water is exhausting, but the need for it is greater than the fatigue. Thousands of displaced families have no reliable access to safe drinking water, and every day without water only deepens their suffering.
That is why we will continue this project and do our best to send out one water truck every day, because for many families, clean water is not a luxury it is essential for survival.
A few videos of last night’s attack, when violent settlers invaded umm al-khair to plant Israeli flags and try to steal another tract of land. Take note of all the cheap shots. Throwing a tiny female activist to the ground. Knees to the groin. Kicking someone while hiding behind a friend. Taking a shot at my throat. And then scampering to the IDF when they arrived to cry victim. To be clear — the Palestinians and their allies did not ask for this confrontation, and did not throw a single punch back, which would have resulted in an immediate arrest if not murder. All they want is to be left alone in their tiny peaceful village.
Movement restrictions are one of the main ways the IDF uses to turn Palestinian life in the West Bank into living hell.
Metal gates block many roads and village entrances and are closed arbitrarily, sometimes for several days.
