Human. Anthropologist. I hope I love you as much as I strive to, deep down, however we may disagree, and however we misspeak. Ground, common/uncommon, grounds.

Notice how old the soldiers look. It’s very sad. It is horrible that Russia invaded. It is shameful that Canada and its security partners did not try to facilitate peace through diplomacy rather than through Orwellian ‘war is peace.’
If you’re American and want to see something incredibly depressing that is not in Gaza, but which your tax dollars also made possible, take a look at the Ukrainian army
@JustinTrudeau : “All of us who were in this house on Friday regret deeply having stood and clapped, even though we did so unaware of the context.”
Is it not regretful that his excellency did not convey regret for being unaware of the context?

@webbavenue@JustinTrudeau P.s. In my opinion Trudeau is as fallible here as all the others who stood and clapped. But he, more than anyone, should be better, should be less ignorant.
@webbavenue@JustinTrudeau The way i see it, if it was in appropriate to stand and clap, the unawareness which enabled the standing and clapping was also inappropriate. I’d go so far as to say it was a key factor in the inappropriate standing and clapping.
CDS Gen. Wayne Eyre @CDS_Canada_CEMD has declined to apologize for his standing ovation for SS veteran. Eyre has faced criticism on social media for his actions and can be seen in video footage right near Hunka, smiling and clapping.

@webbavenue@JustinTrudeau Yes, I’m sure there was much energy leading people to give ovation without thinking, or before thinking. Nonetheless, the failure in awareness is regrettable. The failure to apologize for the unawareness is even more regrettable.
