i like that even if the sage's disciple reads all three dead books, they can't learn slaughterspell. even if the sage's disciple has read the book of keys and can cast things like great ritual, there are still things that only syphon can do. good for him!

2. let syphon get possessed in argadium. leave empty space in your party
3. after he joins at 1HP, use all 3 dead books in your inventory on him
