Shido’s burn mechanism will be significantly enhanced in 2026.

Shido’s tokenomics are designed to be deflationary, with transaction fees continuously burned. With the upcoming MEV implementation, Shido is developing a custom modification of the Auction module that enforces a fixed percentage of MEV bids to be routed directly to the Shido protocol’s burn account.

This upgrade significantly strengthens Shido’s deflationary model. Instead of burning only modest gas fees from transfers, Shido will also burn a substantial share of profits generated by on-chain arbitrage activity.

As DeFi volume increases on the Shido Network, the burn rate scales non-linearly, accelerating the reduction of the Shido token supply.
