This culture of not engaging the people.... I don't like it
I understand they are tired but l am talking generally, in what l have seen...aside Williams, Teboho, Modiba(at times) and Rele .... Our players hardly greet people who show up to welcome/cheer them on arrivals
I hate them so much.
They will attribute every single thing and the bottom of our shoes to white people while Simon Nkoli was at the forefront of gay rights activism in South Africa among other Black activists. The absolute inferiority complex that many of these Africans have is sickening.
In the early 80s, by asserting that his identity as a Black man and a gay man could not be separated, he bridged the gap between racial liberation and queer equality. His efforts directly influenced the African National Congress (ANC) prompting South Africa into the first country in the world to explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation in its constitution as we know it today.
So, reducing our country's milestone to whiteness is a slap in the face of our legions of Black activists who struggled to ensure that human rights in South Africa would be intersectional and encompass every person irrespective of their background/identity.
There is a harmful distortion of Black people's heritage whereby outsiders completely erase our foundational history and it is becoming a common thread in the sentiments about our country.
Claiming that queer people owe their liberation to white people steals accomplisments won through the blood, sweat, and imprisonment of Black South Africans while handing credit to the very system that tried to exclude us.
In this pride month, we will remember Simon!!! 🇿🇦🏳️🌈
When Donald Trump and Elon Musk were spreading lies about South Africa. How many African countries did you see standing up for us to those bullies.
How many human rights lawyers did you see standing up for South Africa?
Where was African Unity ?
Why are schools not pushing the whole Bafana Bafana Fridays like they did with Rugby Fridays… we nearly died looking for di green and gold every Friday!
Corporate is also quiet 🤔
I will tell you now for free, South Africans would rather die in South Africa than beg. That day will never come. That will always be difference between us, we are willing to die for our home. You run away from yours.
Whilst the Ghanaian foreign minister is scoring political points and impressing their master, I have this to say:
The Black people of South Africa did not fight apartheid for Africa as a whole, but for South African citizens. The whole country is playing politics and shows no care in the world to listen to why the people of South Africa are crying. You want to tell me that even after finding out that only 10 people were legal, no one said, “Wait, whoa, South Africans are right and our people were wrong”? Like no one sees that as a problem? Just because this is AFRICA?
South Africa’s very own, Tyla, is once again making South Africa proud.
