Too often Christians are known for hateful and harmful words and theologies coming from our mouth. Instead of proclaiming the gospel of freedom, we proclaim the word that "you are not enough". Gracious Christians speak words of liberation and love, grace and justice.
I was doing my gospel reading. "All spoke well of him," Luke writes of Jesus, "and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth." This follows Jesus proclaiming liberation to the oppressed. Grace and liberation go hand-in-hand. Both are the heart of Christianity.
Racism and white supremacy do not die off with time and passing generations. It is inherited and transferred. White people are more concerned about protecting a world that benefits their children than they are about dismantling a world that harms ours.
“I joined @theopedproject to #WriteToChangeTheWorld because I am inspired to share some insights re: how AI will never outsmart us. So bored this morning reading the cliched writing from #ChatGPT today.
I’m joining @TheOpEdProject's #WriteToChangeTheWorld workshop, because this is how we change who writes history. If you’d like to join me, register here (scholarships available): https://t.co/DpDpjqukP0
What sense does an honor roll make if a student who didn't have to work extremely hard for their grades got A's and B's, yet a student that works extremely hard and surpasses expectations to get C's gets no recognition?
It’s an unwed woman who carries God.
It’s the pagans from the East who recognize God.
It’s the workers in the field who hear from God.
It’s the marginalized neighborhood who welcomes God.
It’s God who chooses the lowly and the broken to rise.
Christmas is here.
Let hope in.
Once again, Carol Jago does her research and strikes again with this gem of wisdom. I agree that we need to bring the love of reading back and help students find their CONFIDENCE in their abilities as academics. https://t.co/rORKX6Imjb
