several SC gov candidates said they wanted to do this. anyone asked for a follow up since florida closed alligator alcatraz and the financial toll came to light?
there are obviously a lot of “normal” people on here but look at the bigger accounts constantly popping up during SC Gov discourse this cycle. it’s the same handful of reactionaries every time, often the same reactionaries operating multiple anonymous accounts. the campaigns that heed the schizoparanoia spewed on here from those reactionaries will be sorely, sorely disappointed come june 9.
expanding on this with an always-useful exercise: which campaigns can you tell know this and which ones don’t? look at statements, events, running mates, etc and it’s very easy to see. if a campaign is in lock-step with its twitter supporters, or worse, seemingly influenced by them, it’s not always even close to approaching a good electoral signifier. reactionary candidates pander to reactionary posters/blogs and especially in SC that does not translate to votes.
