The @EUombudsman has responded to our joint complaint and found that the Commission conducted maladministration by failing to complete a timely assessment of the social & environmental impact of #EUMercosur trade agreement.

In a step in the right direction, the European Parliament vote on the Critical Raw Materials Act (#CRMA) includes need for Indigenous Peoples' and forest communities' consent to mining projects!

The UN recognises their right to Free, Prior Informed Consent – so must the EU!
