NATIONAL LOGISTICS DAY: Today we celebrate the vital role that the shipping, freight and logistics industries play in global commerce and recognize the thousands of port workers, supply chain professionals, truck drivers and countless others who help keep our economy moving. From maritime shipping to final delivery, logistics is the backbone of our economy. Thanks to everyone who makes it all happen each and every day!
Every day, our Road Rangers head out into live traffic to help stranded drivers, clear incidents, and keep Florida's Turnpike moving.
And every shift, someone at home is waiting for them to walk back through the door.
Distracted driving puts roadway workers at risk every single day. Slow down. Stay alert. Put Your Mind in Drive. 🧡
We're proud to stand with @IBTTA, @CFXway, @GMXAgency, and @THEASelmon in calling on drivers everywhere to protect the people working just feet from traffic.

PROGRESS BY PEOPLE: At Port Canaveral, our greatest asset is our people. Today, we’re sharing the second installment of our new video series highlighting team members who help make Port Canaveral the Best Port Ever℠. This episode features Emergency Manager Demarques Gamble of our Public Safety & Security team, who oversees the Port’s comprehensive emergency management program, including planning and preparedness efforts for hurricane season, which began earlier this month. It’s people like Demarques who are powering our growth every step of the way.

United Launch Alliance transported our Atlas V rocket to its Cape Canaveral launch pad this morning to deliver Amazon Leo 7 into low Earth orbit. Liftoff is planned for tomorrow evening at 7:33 p.m. EDT (2333 UTC).
ULA will launch 29 satellites for this seventh Amazon Leo mission, matching the largest and heaviest payload ever for the venerable rocket. We have successfully launched 168 Amazon satellites into space so far.

Today in Fernandina Beach, I was proud to announce that the federal government has approved our request for an Exempted Fishing Permit, which will allow Florida to lead the way on Atlantic red snapper management. Last year, the federal government only permitted 2 days for recreational snapper fishing in the Atlantic.
Today, we are implementing a 39-day, two-phase Atlantic red snapper recreational season for Florida anglers. The Summer Season begins on May 22 to kick off Memorial Day weekend and continues through June, and the Fall Season will run on 3-day weekends in October.
Even as activists and bureaucrats try to stall this season, we will hold the line and stand up for our anglers’ right to fish. At the end of the day, no one understands Florida’s waters better than the people who fish them.
