A lovely, albeit windy, morning for a parkrun! Well done to the 120 participants who walked, jogged or ran with us this morning. Thank you to all the volunteers who made it possible π
Due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, out of respect a decision has been made to cancel Perry Hall parkrun on 10th September.
Other events may still be on, there are no right or wrong decisions at this time, so we support each event's individual decision.
π It was the 2022 listener meetup at @perryhparkrun and there's a few stories to tell.
We'll let the pod do the talking. We also have emails, talk parkrun France's suspension and focus on the best of humanity.
There will be BSL support at @perryhparkrun in Birmingham this Saturday π Come along for the signed briefing before runningππΏββοΈ, walking πΆπ½ββοΈ, wheeling π§π»βπ¦½or skipping π€·π»ββοΈ the 5k course. Everyone welcome π #loveparkrun#deaf#BSL#terplife
100th @parkrunUK today and chose to spend it @perryhparkrun - IMHO the friendliest ParkRun in Birmingham.
No PB, but still OK for a fat-ish, old-ish, grey-ish bloke.
There was a local sunrise as we arrived this morning for set up, the photo doesn't do it justice! Big thanks to our volunteers and 72 runners, joggers and walkers who joined us π
Today was our 7th birthday π
To celebrate we held a collection for a local food bank instead of our usual gathering of tea and cakes. 98 runners and 17 volunteers all donated this - wow!
Thank you!
@stumccullagh Hi Stuart, we start not far from the main entrance to the park, I'm sure you won't miss us! Take a look at our website for more details:
