Learning why we practice repetition and teamwork in math. Ss in groups of 3-5 search for numbers 1-100 in order, using words to communicate to peers, each student responsible for their specific numbers. Three tries to make it to 100 and model quality group work!
Success! Ss learned about the #standardsofmathpractice this week through a STEM challenge. Move the marbles from one cup to the other w/o touching the cup or the marbles.
Ss discovered the circle today via a pi-themed scavenger hunt! Measure the circle then read the clue to find the next stop. Ss divide circumference by diameter to find the magic number 3.14 #masdproud#masdmath@MMS_principals

Hopper Ball Inequalities! Today Ss practiced graphing inequalities through movement! Solved a set of problems then graphed each by placing a hopper ball on a number line and hopping in the direction the graph ran. #middleschool#iteachmath#masdproud@MMS_principals
