Peru CSD’s Product Design class is wrapping up making custom fishing landing nets! Students designed a steam box and bending forms to bend the wood hoop. These are fantastic!
New @Tormach mill is all set up at Clinton Community College’s Institute for Advanced Manufacturing- lots of work to assemble! Next step is to add an Industrial robot for machine tending
@BuonomoBrian Thanks- the students did a great job. They were using dobot studio on separate laptops with infrared sensors to wait for the next station to be ready. It’d be awesome to get them going all from the same program !
Peru CSD’s MST (math science technology) class had launch number 1 of their rocket powered airplanes! Students will create multiple versions of their wing designs to test for the optimal wing loading conditions!
Peru CSD’s Power Mechanics class has wrapped up their 2 cycle outboard engine restoration projects. Students diagnosed issues on some of these 60+ year old engines and a few are now running again!
Peru CSD’s Principles of Engineering class finished their final project of welding a crane truss arm with a motor and pulley system for lifting! Students used welding rod as their material for their designs and tested the amount of deflection under load.
Peru CSD’s Robotics class created their first robot program today for the @Tormach ZA6 robotic arm. Students used pathpilot hub to familiarize themselves with the controls then each programmed a waypoint.
