@BurnTshirtLifer@CollegeFBonX Sark ran his mouth a little, now he’s been called, and of course Texas is going to shirk.
But Tech needs to stop pretending like it’s a school that scheduled ANY Power-3 games in 2026. Or 2025. Or 2027-2029.
@MrShedd74@AmericanAir@AmericanAir can you chime in here?
Yeah, Shedd, we’re diverted in OKC with eight planes ahead of us. Not being told much. But folks on the ground tell me all is clear at the airport.
@AmericanAir@MrShedd74 Weather’s been clear at DFW for almost an hour. Are things moving again?
I’m amongst a bunch of flights diverted & parked in OKC not receiving updates. Thx.
@TruscottJeff@NotDoakSMU@james_hoganv It would take a full cycle, but they’d be the only team in a pretty large geographic region, unless I’m mistaken. By the time the first Freshman class turn Seniors, I’d expect competitiveness to have begun.
@ShockedN@HardBoiledGregz@james_hoganv SMU is a full member. …there’s nothing to “allow.” If the ACC has a sport and SMU has a team, SMU’s team plays in the ACC now
@TruscottJeff@james_hoganv Feels like that’s a tougher task in football than lacrosse, where SMU already did it.
Keeping the best lacrosse athletes in Texas at SMU would be a strong start. A hurdle would be growing lacrosse at the TX HS level, b/c that would keep any other school from being competitive
@RLauletti@james_hoganv Top northeastern kids already regularly applying to SMU en masse. …and SMU is in the most athletically rich area of the country.
You’re typing without knowing what you’re talking about.
@mark_hokie SMU, without any media revenue and at the outset of its major-brand-building, is ahead of Texas Tech, Baylor & Houston and a mere $5M behind TCU.
That bodes well for the Mustangs moving forward.
@CharlesK76493@mark_hokie Miami received $20M for reaching the CFP Championship. And probably close to $15M extra for “success initiative” from the ACC for viewership. So that ~$35M bridges some of the gap.
