Higher education for sure needs to reform assessment but in the meantime, what study habits can you adopt to help you perform well in those standardized exams? #AcademicTwitter#StudyHabits

@vgquintanaa It is normal and valid β€οΈ. I decided to view research as a phase or level that I have to successfully finish it first, in order to be able to do teaching full time, which is what I like. It takes a lot of patience from your side but also support from your mentors.
@LindsayMasland Had an asynchronous course but still wanted to keep the conversation going about the topics we covered, so I chose to use the discussion tool on our LMS. Students got points for each submission per topic and for commenting on their peers thread. Never again with 24+ students
January is national mentoring month π‘, so I wanted to share a quick guide I made with lots of resources about Mentorship in STEM π€: https://t.co/AdKV11hxkl
An important first step in science communication is to know and respect your audience. Remember that you are communicating with people who are intelligent and curious, they just have a different set of expertise than you do.
Couldn't be more proud of Aaron β€οΈ I was happy when he found such a unique opportunity a few months back & now glad that he accomplished his goal - a highly produced winning video πΉ π₯³can't wait for you to tell the world more science stories with that creative mind you have π
I am deeply honored to be the winner of the @ArcadiaScience#SciComm Hackathon! I'm beyond excited to be joining this dream team and canβt wait to tell more stories about all the cool science (and all the diverse scientists) of Arcadia! 1/7
Teaching Tip: Learn students' names and how to pronounce them.
Names communicate caring and connection between individuals.
What are your strategies for learning names? And what do you do if you have large classes? @OpenAcademics
