@vitaminwaterlvr I feel like in the scope of “consumer friendly tech house DJs” Chris lake is definitely in the higher tier quality wise compared to his peers but he also actively contributes to the lack of creativity problem so maybe not the greatest messenger
@toootadootz the Australians are so cracked in literally all genres (house techno and everything in between). need a loooot of them to start touring the US more frequently
Happy Independence Day (and belated Independence Day) to Mexico and all other Latin American countries celebrating their independence this month. May all our people still suffering the effects of imperialism from the US achieve peace in our lifetime. 🙏🏼
feliz día de la independencia de México a todos mis amigos mexicanos!!! los quiero muchísimo y me siento muy afortunado de celebrar su hermosa cultura, su fuerza, su alegría y su espíritu <3
que viva México!!! 💚🤍❤️
I said no more travel for this year (not including Hawaii trips bc that’s lowkey for family stuff) but if I get my little hands on a harry styles ticket… nyc will be seeing me
I think it’s super important to highlight DJs like Kinahau & Luch (who are stateside) & other ones who are primarily in Mex like Colossio, Andre VII, Cazibajo & that there has been a sound/movement coming out of Mex besides US DJs like Deorro/Bolo or the LA Latin tech house scene
longer set times are better for both DJs and dancers
it nearly always takes an hour or longer to fully find your flow with a crowd - short sets incentivize DJs and dancers to seek immediate gratification over seeking to create more symmetry between the booth and the dance floor
