Kurdish minority in Aleppo being erased to the sounds of international silence.
Simply for who they are.
Human rights are not selective.
Silence is not neutrality.
I pray for President Trump and his team to make the right decisions to keep America safe at this dangerous time.
History tells us the right decision is to stand by those who stand with America and sacrifice for our common cause. History also tells us that evil cannot be accommodated — it has to be defeated.
I remember how sick to my stomach I felt when we abandoned our people in Benghazi. I’ll hold that against Hillary Clinton til my dying day.
Our people have to include those who would be a friend of America in the face of oppression: the protestors in Iran and the brave Kurds.
These are difficult decisions. But to abandon the Iranian people and the brave Kurds would be, in my view, Benghazi times a million.
I am confident that President Trump, who has done a marvelous job protecting America, will make the right call. God bless President Trump and all under his command.
SDF Media Center says that despite the ceasefire, Damascus-affiliated factions launched heavy shelling on the village of Kharab Ashk, southeast of Kobani, using artillery, tanks, and drones. Five civilians from one family were killed and five others injured, with homes destroyed and bodies trapped under the rubble.
Update
Violent clashes continue between our forces and Damascus-affiliated factions, which have once again violated the ceasefire agreement and launched a ground and artillery attack on the town of Khirab Ashk, southeast of Kobani, accompanied by aerial support from Turkish reconnaissance aircraft. The clashes have been ongoing for more than three hours.
I am currently working to issue an official invitation from Israel and to host Sheikh Sheik Murshide Kheznewî in Israel.
After watching a powerful and courageous interview he gave to the Kurdish TV channel Rûdaw, it is clear that this is a rare and bold voice of a Kurdish religious and social leader calling on the world to listen.
These are his words, as stated in the interview:
If you allow me, I want my voice to be heard.
I want to call for help from Israel.
Until when are we going to be killed by Muslims.
Until when are we going to be sacrificed for Gaza and the Palestinians.
If my country or land is destroyed, I curse the land of those who are against me.
If my mother, our Kurdish mothers, cannot live, may the mothers of those who are against us not live either.
If my country is not free, may the land of those who are against us not be free as well.
For these reasons, we Kurds must be awake and aware.
We need to strengthen our relations with Israel.
We need an alliance with Israel.
I, Sheik Murshide Kheznewî, promise that if Israel comes to the aid and helps free my people in Rojava, I will be Israel’s eternal servant.
These words, coming from a senior Muslim cleric, reflect deep frustration with the regional reality and clearly identify Israel as a moral and strategic partner for the Kurdish people.
The purpose of this invitation is to enable open, honest, and courageous dialogue religious, humanitarian, and diplomatic and to explore paths of cooperation that may benefit both peoples and contribute to regional stability.
Always follow me.
Sincerely,
Yehuda Ben Yosef
President of the Kurdish Community in Israel

Statement: The Damascus Government Is Moving Toward Escalation Despite the Ceasefire
Despite the ceasefire agreement signed between us and the Damascus government, the latter continues, in a systematic manner, its military preparations and field escalation in the Jazira and Kobani regions. Military build-ups and logistical movements have been observed, clearly indicating an intent to escalate and push the region toward a new confrontation.
In this context, our forces were subjected today to two separate attacks in the Jazira region, constituting a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.
While our forces have adhered to, and continue to adhere to, the terms of the ceasefire agreement, we affirm that the military preparations undertaken by the Damascus government stand in complete contradiction to its obligations and reveal deliberate efforts to undermine de-escalation and steer the situation toward war instead of political solutions.
We call on the international community and relevant parties to exert urgent efforts to ensure compliance with the ceasefire agreement and to prevent any escalatory steps that would threaten security and stability in the region.

@LindseyGrahamSC No one can inflict this cruelty on the Kurds. This weakens Kurdish-American relations in the Middle East and causes us to lose our trust in America.
@LindseyGrahamSC Senator, Syria is currently ruled by the terrorist organization ISIS, and Turkey is supporting and arming these terrorists. For years, it has been attempting to commit genocide against the Kurdish people, your only loyal allies in the Middle East. You must put an end to this.

CALL TO ACTION
ROJAVA is in a fight for its life.
Protest, 12 PM ET, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the US Capitol Building, Washington DC.
The autonomous, democratic, secular, US-allied region of Syria is being attacked by the jihadists who now run the Syrian government. Northeast Syria is now under attack by jihadist religious extremists. If you can, please come and attend this demonstration on Wednesday.
We will ask US Congress to take action to stand with Rojava and stand with Kurds.
Wear warm clothes, bring water and snacks, bring noisemakers, flags, and signs, bring a megaphone if you have one, and be ready to be loud.
