I love how you unbearable fanctivists always love to decontextualise the simple fact that BTS are Koreans who sang about their realities as young Korean men living in Korea.
YOU related to them.
YOU found their musical theme UNIVERSAL.
Aliens/Normal/merry go round is as sociopolitically and socioculturally charged as their older songs. A lot of you just have a very narrow and restrictive view of what is political or radical.
you have no reason to view it as a personal attack whenever bts ask for their privacy and boundaries to be respected unless you are someone who is taking part in invading their privacy and overstepping the boundaries of being a fan.
Can we PLEASE stop turning every discussion about BTS’s privacy into a country vs. country debate? “This country has worse stalkers.” “No, that country is worse.” “ARMYs from X country are the problem.”
WHO CARES? THIS IS A FANDOM ISSUE.
ARMY is a whole. We represent BTS as a global fandom, regardless of what country or region we come from. So instead of fighting over which country has the worst behavior, focus on the actual issue: BTS travel. They move across countries and continents, and wherever they go, their privacy deserves to be respected.
And please stop with “they’re not ARMYs.” If they are fans of BTS, then they are part of the fandom. You cannot erase uncomfortable behavior from the fandom simply because acknowledging it reflects badly on us. The answer isn't to pretend these people don't exist. The answer is to call out the behavior.
The people waiting outside hotels, disturbing staff, following BTS, filming private moments and spreading stalker content are responsible for their actions. And the people who knowingly consume, repost and amplify that content also need to ask themselves why they are rewarding it.
Stop defending the fandom’s image and start protecting BTS. THIS IS A FANDOM ISSUE. And it's time we were mature enough to criticize our own fandom when criticism is necessary.
also yall have to stop saying "they're not army" because they are. they are fans waiting outside their hotels. bts and the staff know they are fans. so instead of denying that they are to make yourself look good, start shaming them more and reporting them
If you share content from stalkers and media who crosses boundaries with them you are part of the problem btw. It’s because you all have no standards and give huge engagement to that content that these people rabidly stalk them all over the world.
