Westinghouse pomeni jedrsko energijo! ⚛️
Že več kot 140 let smo prvi pri uvajanju energetskih inovacij.
Prvi smo pripeljali elektriko v domove!
Prvi smo namestili elektroenergetske stroje pri Niagarskih slapovih!
Prvi smo postavili komercialno jedrsko elektrarno!
May the Fourth be with you! At Westinghouse, we’re channeling a new hope through advanced nuclear technologies like our AP1000® modular reactors that provide safe, reliable, and carbon-free energy for generations to come.
The force is strong with nuclear.
Happy Earth Day! As one of the world’s leaders in nuclear energy, we know caring for our communities starts with action.
From in‑office composting at our New Hampshire site in the U.S., supporting biodiversity plans at our Springfields Fuels facility in the UK, and completing energy efficiency assessments in France, our teams across the world are committed to environmental stewardship every day.
When Westinghouse held its second annual Congressional Fly-in last month on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., more than 40 of our AP1000® reactor suppliers joined us, including Crane Nuclear.
Crane Nuclear's Chris Stocker wrote about the company's experience supplying world-class valves for the two AP1000 units at Plant Vogtle in Georgia. Read his story: https://t.co/4WDipmWQ2t
⚡Pred 140 leti je George Westinghouse spremenil svet z izmenično elektriko. Danes nadaljujemo to zapuščino z najvarnejšimi in najučinkovitejšimi jedrskimi reaktorji na svetu. Tradicija je naš temelj prihodnosti.

It’s 👏 just 👏 water 👏 vapor 👏
When you see big cooling towers at a nuclear plant, know that they aren’t smokestacks — they’re releasing clean water vapor, just like clouds in the sky. ☁️💧

Westinghouse and 40 of our supply chain partners who helped build the first two new reactors in the United States in decades gathered last month on Capitol Hill to speak with members of Congress about building more AP1000 reactors for Americans.
Illinios-based Transco Products Inc. is one of those suppliers and their CEO Nathan Miller shared his experience in a new op-ed published last week. @ProductsTransco supplies critical thermal insulation products to all of America’s nuclear plants.

Westinghouse and MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant recently co-hosted the VVER Fuel Forum in Budapest, Hungary, to share insights and plans for the continued deployment of VVER-1000 and VVER-440 fuel at operating reactors in Europe.
MVM Paks CEO Péter János Horváth told attendees that Hungary is ending two decades of single-supplier fuel dependency thanks to the agreement recently signed with Westinghouse to supply the VVER-440 NOVA E-6 fuel design.

As part of our plans for a fleet of AP1000® power plants in the United States, Westinghouse has submitted a Design Control Document (DCD) to @NRCgov that establishes Plant Vogtle's Unit 4 reactor as the standard AP1000 reference plant for future reactors.
A DCD defines the technical aspects of a standard reactor design to ensure it meets all regulatory and safety requirements.

Today marks 80 years since our Springfields Fuels facility became a nuclear licensed site! 🎉 #Springfields80
On 28th March 1946, Springfields was named as the UK's dedicated site for nuclear fuel production, the beginning of eight decades of innovation, skills development and contributions to the nation's energy security.
For 80 years, our people, technology and dedication to safe nuclear power have helped shape the industry. ⚛️ As we celebrate this milestone throughout the rest of 2026, we will also look ahead to the future of nuclear and the continued role Springfields plays in supporting clean energy.
Westinghouse and more than 40 AP1000® supply chain partners are back on Capitol Hill this week asking members of Congress for their support of 10 new AP1000 reactors in the United States.
This is our second annual AP1000 Congressional fly-in and double the number of suppliers who took part in last year's event. Assistant U.S. Secretary for @GovNuclear, Ted Garrish, and U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (@RepChuck) took part in the first day of the fly-in on Tuesday. They reinforced the message Westinghouse Interim CEO Dan Sumner delivered early in the day: A fleet of AP1000 reactors will ignite an American energy jobs boom that reaches more than 40 states.
As the only fully licensed, construction-ready advanced reactor available today, AP1000 technology is already delivering real results for Americans. Two AP1000 units at Plant Vogtle in Georgia are operating at 95% capacity and powering more than 500,000 households and businesses around the clock, 365 days a year.

Building a fleet of 10 AP1000® reactors in the United States will generate enough power for more than 7.5 million American homes.
The AP1000 fleet will also produce tens of thousands of multi-generational, high-paying careers and create $1 trillion in economic benefits to local communities over the next 80 years.
Let's get to work building America's 21st-century energy source!

Today, we released a comprehensive, independent report detailing the significant economic impact of deploying a fleet of 10 AP1000® advanced modular reactors in the United States.
The study found that the construction phase of a 10-unit AP1000 fleet can generate more than $93 billion in GDP for the U.S. and support 44,300 high-paying jobs annually for 13 years. Over its 80-year lifetime, the fleet would create an additional $1 trillion of GDP while supporting 22,500 jobs annually.
Let's get to work!

We have completed the fabrication and assembly of an eVinci™ microreactor test bed designed to advance the experimental understanding of heat pipe technology.
The Limits Experiment of Advanced Heat Pipes (LEAHP) is the most advanced heat pipe test bed ever constructed, providing Westinghouse with a unique capability to analyze heat pipe performance and operating limits under controlled conditions. It will generate data needed to validate analytical models and support the licensing of advanced heat pipe technologies.
Our eVinci team is also nearing completion of another key experimental platform to further analyze ongoing design, testing, and licensing work for microreactors. The heat pipes that will be tested in this experiment have been shipped from our eVinci Microreactor Accelerator Hub in Etna, Pennsylvania, to another Westinghouse facility in partnership with Brayton Energy.
This marks a significant milestone toward understanding heat pipe capabilities for consistent, quality controlled high temperature heat pipe fabrication. Learn more about our industry-leading heat pipe technology: https://t.co/BtG1rzMcBu
Digital twins are digital models of physical products, systems or processes that are synchronized by data to real-world entities. They are an important new tool that can accelerate the product development cycle.

The third sector of ITER's Vacuum Vessel built at our manufacturing facility in Italy began its journey over the weekend to the future fusion site in France!
This massive component is one of Europe’s five contributions to the ITER Vacuum Vessel and its delivery will bring the fusion project another step closer to reality.
After departure from our Monfalcone facility in northern Italy, the sector is heading to Cadarache, France. This milestone has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the @iterorg, @fusionforenergy, and the AMW Consortium.
For decades, our manufacturing facilities have powered the past – and the future – of energy. ⚡🏭 From the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) in South Carolina to the Blairsville Plant in Pennsylvania, generations of colleagues have built careers, community, and innovation together.
