Our Robotics Team have been providing all the entertainment for our Year 7 students this afternoon. They put on an incredible disco for the children in a bid to raise money for their trip to the National Championships! It’s been a busy week and what a great way to end it! #disco
Have you seen our Year 12 students investigating our school grounds? They have been investigating biodiversity in different areas of the school site as part of their fieldwork topic. #biodiversity
For their practical work, year 12 physics students used an LED circuit with different capacitors to record variations in the capacitance of the circuit. Using a graph of their data, they will identify the capacitance of other capacitors which were not part of the test equipment.
Our A-level biology students have begun the plant transport module by applying their knowledge of transpiration to explain the mass change of plants in different conditions. Great work everyone! #biology
In our first session of the holiday @PetcheyAcademy the @PetcheyRobotic1 team were challenged to crate a loft mechanism from lego...this was our favourite and sparked some good discussion about improvements to their bot #Robots#STEM

Our Year 12 Biology students learnt how to orientate the heart using the feel of the different chambers and then measured the width of the walls to create a comparison table. Great work Year 12! @petcheystem

Our Year 12 students had a brilliant day at Akamai Technologies. Students took part in a variety of workshops where they learned about the vast range of careers in Tech and Cyber Security. Students then had a networking lunch with senior employees. A great day! #careers
