I hereby pledge to not be an asshole this election season. I will support my chosen candidate in the primary without tearing down others. I will admit when I don't know. I will not spread misinformation. Then, when the nominee is chosen, I will #VoteBlueNoMatterWho . #PledgeBlue
.@Lis_Smith changes the comms game daily with her genius — and it shows up all over this campaign. We’re lucky to have her leadership, heart and brilliant vision driving this campaign forward. #WeStanAQueen 👸🏻😍❤️ #ICYMI
@MalcolmNance Idk, it only seems like chaos if you think of it as a plan to benefit America. If you consider what it does for Russia it looks well coordinated, just like every other seemingly random or stupid move he's made. I hope we find out what all Vlad has on him some day.
@emmjay173 My situation has recently improved(like 3 days ago, lol), and I've been with Pete since the DNC. I was for Bernie last time, and I really like Liz. Primarily both are out b/c we need less fighting, not more. I don't like Beto. I'm sure he's a good guy, but he's not my guy.
@gpmominoh@Oooooo_Donna @nikroybal @PeteButtigieg "That's what the Republicans are going to call your buybacks... sugar-coating it for the primary is pointless. If you aren't ready to hear it you might not be ready to push the policy."
@Oooooo_Donna@gpmominoh @nikroybal @PeteButtigieg I think maybe we saw different things in that exchange. You remember that Castro was WRONG as he went after Biden's HC plan, right? What Pete said was 100% spot on, Castro was being petty af.
@BMano_123456 @nikroybal @PeteButtigieg It just seems to minimize small donations a bit. Given his image(admittedly not at all accurate) as a big money candidate it just seems like a bad look. Same with the confiscation thing, honestly. It isn't like it isn't accurate, it just isn't necessarily helpful.
Ok, folks. Vote me off the island if you like, but I agree with Cory about the "confiscation" thing. It doesn't alter my trust in Pete one iota, but I agree the word is as unhelpful as talk of buybacks.
I think Cory said it in good faith & it's different than Beto's swipes.
@SnowflakeSnark @jgmonte922@CoryBooker@PeteButtigieg I kinda agree with him, honestly. It isn't like there's a lack of synonyms. It's not going to cause me to think any less of Pete, but that's a loaded word, especially after calling buy backs a distraction & unhelpful. It's the same thing, to me. I think it's a fair point to make.
@CoryBooker@PeteButtigieg Fwiw, I'm hardcore #TeamPete and I agree that the connotation of this word should make it off limits. I'm aware that the literal meaning is accurate and it isn't like my support is shaken at all, but I agree that this was a poor word choice given the environment.
@westwoodmom @Paychecko @CNNSotu@BetoORourke This seems to be a distinction that many in our party are having trouble making. Disagreeing with someone's policy isn't the same thing as attacking them. Disagreement over these things is the point of a primary. That's a touch different than what I responded to.
